National Museum of Contemporary Art

When in 2004 the National Museum of Contemporary Art have moved to the House of the People, the modernity, the iconoclasm and the diversity entered big time into what was once the center of Ceausescu’s dictatorial power. For almost 15 years now, a complete part of this slightly megalomaniac building is dedicated to what the best Romanian and international contemporary art world has to offer in Bucharest. 3 big modular stairs are dedicated to artists for screenings, installations and other various types of exhibitions. And because such a museum can delight all of your senses, get ready to find the bar and the rooftop terrace. While the first part of the day can witness from time to time nice brunches, it is often taken over by some pretty nice parties later on.
