Apollo111

Palatul Universul, a name that could have been chosen by the Dacian gods (you know Zalmoxis, Sabazios, Gebeleizis and others). A name they would have given to such a place, knowing it was going to be the home to many wonders, hiding quietly behind the palace's heavy doors. One of them is to be found at the very deep, where used to sit the imposing printing press of 'Universul', Romania's biggest newspaper in the 1920's. A room so high that the ceilings manage to let in outside light, making it probably the only 'demi-sol' I would love to set my apartment in. Apollo111 is a bar where took place some of the most memorable parties I've seen recently. It is also a theatre, run and curated by actor Bogdan Dumitrache, where are produced and played independent plays. Positioning itself as inter-disciplinary, Apollo111 also hosts from time to time concerts and art exhibitions.
